The Meaning of Life is Not Illusive!

Are you Lost?

The meaning of life is not illusive. It’s as simple as smelling rain, after a long drought. Many people search for it because they feel lost, or think that finding it will bring happiness. However, people who are happy don’t go looking for the meaning of life.

But just because you are looking does not mean there is something wrong with you. In the contrary, it means you re ready to stop suffering.

I’m Just A…(insert what you are here)!

I am a stay at home Mom. If you ever want to know the meaning of feeling lost, it’s a Mom taking care of many little critters that never expect anything magnificent from you except a clean diaper, food, and a laugh.

You will never get a “Employee of the month”award, nor a recognition award. The expectation that you the adult understand the meaning of everything is just there.

The Audacity to Think That I know the Meaning of Life!

So how did I a non-significant job holding Mom find the meaning of life, heck what makes me think that I know the meaning of life?

How can I have the Audacity to write a “What is”article? It’s because my life felt meaningless and trite. I had to find the meaning of my life or I would have died.

Suffering Can Drive Change!

There is nothing like pure desperation to teach you the way. Nothing like pure suffering to drive you to change.

I had reached that level while taking care of my little ones. Sure I did not get my certificate on “Inner Peace”from a seminary, or from a Buddhist temple, or by following a Guru for years.

Instead I received my certificate on inner change by having to go through the process myself. I figured out little by little how to let go of negative states that attached me to their need. No more jealousy, no more unnecessary anger, no more controlling fear.

Now I don’t mean to say that I no longer have emotions.  The emotions that I have I now use consciously. They don’t control me, I control them! Since I wished someone would have taught me earlier in childhood, I am also teaching my children to do the same.

It might seem hard to think the you can never get there. You certainly can, and in fact you can excel at having the type of life you envisioned. All you have to do is learn inner engineering.

What finding this inner peace taught me:

You don’t need anything, not even a meaning. Life needs only to be happy, pure joy needs to come from within you.

A tree needs to feed your soul, as much as a healthy meal. Once you understand this inner peace, you find that the meaning of life is super easy to attain.

The meaning of life is to live fully, live magnificently without judgment or expectations. Learn to master your inner state and you will learn what the meaning of your life is, it’s that simple and that powerful.
